Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, on behalf of VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) located 3801 Miranda Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304-1290 is issuing this Notice of Intent (NOI) to inform industry contractors of the Government s intent to award a sole source contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The intended contractor is Medtronic INC, 200 Medtronic Drive, Lafayette, CO, 80026 United States. VACCHCS is seeking to negotiate a sole source award to Medtronic, INC. to provide Corrective and Preventative Maintenance Support Service for Medtronic O-arm O2, S8 with EM, and S8 Planning Station at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System (VAPAHCS) in accordance with the Performance Work Statement Draft. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services. Product of Service Code for this requirement is J065 Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Medical, Dental, and Veterinary Equipment and Supplies. The 2022 Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for this sector is $19.0 Million. This notice of intent is neither a formal solicitation nor a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document is available, and telephone requests will not be honored. No award will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must be able to prove that provides clear, compelling and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. Additionally, all responses must address all aspects of the attached Performance Work Statement. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
