Description
This amendment to the synopsis is being incorporated to provide interested parties the dates for the pre-proposal conference and to request indentifying information to gain base access. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled in Seoul South Korea on May 8, 2018 starting at 9:00am local time and ending May 16, 2018. For Base access individuals must have a Federal Government pictured Identification Card i.e. CAC, Retired Military ID etc., please see below for base specific entry requirements. If you do not have a Federal Government pictured Identification Card please contact Mr. Orin Smith by April 16, 2018. For more information or if you have any questions please contact Mr. Orin Smith at orin.smith@dla.mil. Additionally, please RSVP by April 19, 2018 by 3:00pm EST. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESSING MILITARY INSTALLATIONS: 1. Pohang and Yechon - All personnel have to be escorted including CAC card holders. For US personnel possessing a CAC will need the following: a. Name as appears on CAC b. DoD ID number from CAC c. DOB in YYYYMMDD format d. A second picture ID to exchange for the Escort Pass For US personnel without CAC: a. Name as appears on passport b. Passport number c. DOB in YYYYMMDD format d. A second picture ID to exchange for the Escort Pass For Korean Personnel: a. Name as appears on Korean ID in Hangul b. Korean ID number (includes DOB) c. Korean ID will be exchanged for Escort Pass; Will also need vehicle information to include Make, Model, Year, Color. If rental, then "Rental - Information TBD" will be sufficient for the EAL memo. 2. Gunsan Port - Some form of government Picture ID (passport, CAC , Driver's License, Retired Military ID. (This will be the easiest location to enter.) 3. All other US military locations: US government civil service personnel a. CAC b. Second picture ID if not registered in Korean Defense Bio-Metric Identification System (KDBIDS) US Retired military with ID Card will require a second picture ID if not registered in KDBIDS US non-government personnel, to include US contractors with CAC will have to be escorted unless they have an approved USFK Form 700-19 and are registered in KDBIDS a. Passport or CAC b. Second picture ID Korean personnel that possess a USFK Form 37-EK(Auto) that show access to all USFK areas and not just a specific base or area will not require an escort. All other Korean personnel must be escorted and must surrender their Korean ID before entry. Escorted personnel are NOT allowed to stay overnight in government lodging. Photos are not allowed on Pohang and Yechon. Photos can be taken at the other locations with the exception of aircraft, troop movements, weapons, etc.
