Description

October 8, 2020 The purpose of this amendment is to provide the Planning Guidelines and Design Standards for Checked Baggage Inspection Systems version 7.0, which hereby replaces version 6.0. The PGDS is intended to provide standards and best practices that assist designers, planners, and architects in developing efficient and cost-effective checked baggage screening systems. This amendment also incorporates the Electronic Baggage Screening Program (EBSP) TSA Funding of Checked Baggage Inspection System (CBIS) Project Costs, Version 4.0 which hereby replaces Version 3.0. This document contains CBIS project and funding application eligibility. The PGDS Version 7.0, the TSA Funding Policy Memo Version 4.0, and a comment form for industry comments regarding PGDS version 7.0 are provided in the attachments.
