REQUEST FOR QUOTE VOLCANIC TEPHRA SAMPLE ANALYSIS INTRODUCTION This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE DESCRIPTION The US Geological Survey (USGS) Alaska Science Center (ASC), requires mineral separation, LA-ICPMS spot analyses, and CA-ID-TIMS analyses as described in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). RELEVANT INFORMATION The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541380 Testing Laboratories and Services and associated size standard $19.0 million applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code B517 Special Studies / Analysis, Geological. All services will be performed at the contractor's laboratory. This service is subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Statute. QUESTIONS All questions must be sent directly to elizabeth_adam@ios.doi.gov by Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:00am PD. SUBMISSION OF QUOTES Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at elizabeth_adam@ios.doi.gov. All quote documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 10:00am PD. Quotes submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered EVALUATION OF QUOTES Quotes will be evaluated by Tradeoff. Evaluation factors include Experience of Key Personnel, Technical Capability, Price, and Past Performance. See Provision 52.212-2 for details. Offerors are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Evaluation Factors (see Attachment).
